Choose the pouch of proper size according to the equipment's size to be sterilized, and then put the clean and dry equipment into the pouch. Leave 3-4 cm more than the equipment's length to ensure the sealing successful and avoid the burst of the pouch. 2. Make the acute edge of the equipment contrary to the peel direction when we put it into the pouch.
3. Use the special two-sided adhesive strip to agglutinate and seal, marking the detailed information such as the sterilization date, the equipment name and the usage etc.
4. Put the film side of the pouch against the heat bar of the heat sealing machine, the valid temperature should be 200-230 .The valid pressure should be 0.15kg/cm2, and the valid time should be 4--6 seconds.
5. Put the closed pouch into the steam clave or ETO sterilizer, let the pouchs paper side against paper side according to the rule, and then do the sterilization following the normal methods.
6. Refer to the indicators color variance to identify the sterilization situation: if sterilization proceeded, it will turn black from initial blue based on steam sterilization method, and will turn yellow from initial pink based on the ETO sterilization method.
7. Keep the sterilized pouch dry, clean and in dark-light place.
8. The correct method of removing the contents from a pouch is to separate the film from the paper, NOT to push the contents through the film or paper, thus rendering the contents non-sterile. Tear the pouch along the peeling direction and put the sterilized equipment out. Notice:
1. The valid period will be 6 months on the steam sterilization method basis. And will be 24 months on the ETO Sterilization method basis.
